Definition:

Under the general direction of the Food Service Director, performs the duties necessary to provide meals and receive and record data relating to one or more accounting and record keeping procedures related to the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receive and store food items, supplies and materials properly.
• Set up, sell and serve hot and cold food to students and faculty
• Function as a cashier, including counting and following district procedures of monies
• Maintain inventory control
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions
• Perform other related duties as assigned

SUSD is looking for a dynamic personality to work with our current kitchen staff at both school sites. This position will be responsible for menu planning, kitchen compliance, food ordering and other duties pertaining to running a well balanced program. This position is currently a 4 hour/day position. If more hours are needed in the future, that can be negotiated.

This position follows the academic calendar with school breaks off. You will be eligible for CalPERS retirement, health benefits, dental and vision.
